Your First Time in Costa Rica

You may not know this, but Costa Rica is one of the most gorgeous places that you can ever travel too. You will have lots of fun and see some interesting places and things, as well as, do some interesting things. However, if this will be your first time traveling out of the country, there are a number of things you have to keep in mind. You will want to learn some travel tips before you leave for Costa Rica, but these tips will help you have a smooth and great vacation.

When it comes to the most important thing to traveling to Costa Rica, you will find that you need to travel without hitting any bumps in the road, but avoiding the bumps can be hard. Of course, many people fly to Costa Rica for vacation every year, but not everyone understands the documentation you need to travel to and from this country. You will find that the local airlines are continuously changing; however, you will find that there is a lot that you can do, like checking out the airlines on a regular basis, so that you can avoid this common bump.

Currently, if you are staying less than 90 days and are from the United States, you do not need a travel visa. You will want to have a passport that isn’t near expiring and you will also need to show proof of a return ticket. There are special considerations for children. The airlines also restrict what can be taken into and out of the country, and each airline differs slightly on these laws, so check with your specific airport before flying out.

Then when you get to Costa Rica you will be able to make the trip go even better by knowing the local laws and regulations before you hit the land.. Remember that drugs are illegal in Costa Rica, including marijuana and other harder drugs. If you take prescription drugs, be sure that you carry the prescription with you at all times.

You will want to be careful about your meds because they won’t think twice about taking your meds or your money. Be careful of your money. Tourists are an easy target for the most part, so keep your money organized and safely close to your body. Also, don’t carry more money than you need, and carry smaller denominations.

You will also want to be prepared to weather changes and you will want to dress appropriately for Costa Rica. You will find that the summertime can be cooler in the higher elevations, but mostly at night. You will also find that there are plenty of beaches of Costa Rica for you to be able to enjoy. You will want to use your own discretion when it comes to the beachwear. You will want to make sure that it is appropriate for the many families that will vacation in the Costa Rica at the same time as you. You will find that nudity is illegal in many beaches, but you will find that there are few secluded nude beaches in Costa Rica.
